What platforms does SIDeck Studio support?+
SIDeck Studio runs on Windows 10+ and macOS 12+. The iOS companion app requires iOS 17 or later. Both desktop hosts are supported.
How do I connect my phone to my PC?+
Install the desktop host, open it, then scan the QR code shown on screen using the SIDeck iOS app. Both devices must be on the same Wi-Fi network. The whole process takes under a minute.
Do I need to open router ports or configure a firewall?+
No. SIDeck uses local network discovery — no port-forwarding required. If your router has AP isolation (client isolation) enabled, you may need to disable it for LAN pairing to work.
Is there a free version?+
Yes. The free tier includes 1 device per desktop, 2 audio channels, up to 6 macros, and 1 Custom Mode with the Live Starter template. No credit card required.
Does it work with OBS?+
Yes. SIDeck connects to OBS Studio via WebSocket (OBS 28+ required). You can switch scenes, toggle sources, and monitor stream health — all from your phone without touching OBS on your desktop.
What are Custom Modes?+
Custom Modes are Pro-only full-screen layouts you design yourself. Mix audio faders, OBS scene tiles, and macro buttons on a single grid. Create up to 20 modes — Live, BRB, Recording, and more — and swipe between them live without touching your keyboard.
What is Discord Voice integration?+
Discord Voice integration lets you see who's talking, mute yourself, deafen, and check voice channel status — all from your phone without alt-tabbing. It's a Pro feature that works alongside your mixer and OBS controls.
Does SIDeck Studio support Streamer.bot?+
Yes. Connect Streamer.bot to the SIDeck desktop host to get live Twitch and Kick chat, event alerts (subs, raids, bits), and custom action buttons on your phone. Requires a Pro subscription.
Is there a free trial for Pro?+
The monthly Pro plan includes a 7-day free trial via the App Store. The annual plan is charged immediately when you subscribe — no trial period.
Can I cancel anytime?+
Yes. Cancel your Pro subscription anytime from iOS Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions. You keep Pro access until the end of your billing period.
What happens if I downgrade from Pro to Free?+
You keep Pro features until your billing period ends. After that, your setup reverts to the Free tier limits: 1 device, 2 audio channels, up to 6 macros, and 1 Custom Mode.
Is Pro per-device or per-account?+
Pro is per Apple ID account. Your subscription is tied to your App Store account and restores across all your iOS devices at no extra cost.
Does SIDeck work without internet?+
Yes, for everyday LAN control. Sign-in and Pro entitlement checks need a brief internet connection. Pro users can also enable remote macros over the internet via the opt-in relay on their desktop host.
Is my LAN traffic encrypted?+
Sessions use short-lived dynamic tokens that rotate automatically. Macro actions are sent as encrypted identifiers — no executable scripts are transmitted over the wire.
What OBS version do I need?+
OBS Studio 28 or later with the WebSocket plugin enabled (it's built-in as of OBS 28). Enable it in OBS under Tools > WebSocket Server Settings.
How do I restore my Pro purchase on a new device?+
Open Settings in the SIDeck iOS app and tap Restore Purchases. The restore is handled by the App Store and RevenueCat — it works across all iOS devices on the same Apple ID.
Is the app available in Arabic?+
Yes. SIDeck Studio is fully bilingual — English and Arabic. The Arabic interface is a complete RTL layout with native font rendering, not just a translated overlay. Switch languages from the Settings screen or the language toggle in the header.
What Arabic font does SIDeck use?+
The interface uses Cairo for Arabic — a modern, highly legible Arabic typeface designed for display and UI use. It supports full diacritics and renders correctly at all sizes.
